RE: Elder Abuse Victims Act of 2009
Honorable President Barack Obama,
Sir, please be sure to have someone on your staff to review the information on the enclosed document CD titled, Elder Abuse Act T. L. FULLER.
I believe that the information contained on it provides a glaring example as to why the Elder Abuse Victims Act must be passed into federal law.
As a nation we must move, as soon as possible to protect the assets and financial interest of those 65 years of age and over, from those that would conspire and use unscrupulous means to realize a pecuniary advantage over our nations elders.
I understand that the Elder Abuse Victims Act is tied to the Health Care Reform Bill currently stalled on Capital Hill.
I most humbly ask that you would please stand up for this legislation and that you ask all members of Congress to support this proposed law as stand alone legislation should the Health Care Reform Bill fail to reach your desk for your signature.
What happened to my late grandfather, his finances and his estate during the last year of his life should never be allowed to happen again, ever…the result of which has left my 92-year-old grandmother destitute.
I realize that your plate is full but I believe that the Elder Abuse Victims Act is surely needed and must be signed into law most expeditiously.
Thank you,
Harvard Dad, Class of 2003
