In a democratic society, however, access to free information plays a central role in creating a system of checks and balance, and in distributing power equally amongst governments, businesses, individuals, and other social entities. Access to verifiable information gathered by independent media sources, which adhere to journalistic standards, can also be of service to ordinary citizens, by empowering them with the tools they need in order to participate in the political process.

Elder Abuse by your children is the most selfish act a child can perform. Given the love, support and trust extended by Parent their childern. MONEY, greed and so called pay back are most often the motive. You are in my prayer.
ReplyDeleteI to have experienced the negative impact of my siblings' financial elder abuse of my parents. My pain was greatest once I realize our Legal system protects family members who are Abusers and only by paying exorbitant legal fee will your petition reach trial. If the abuser is a family member represented by a private lawyer most often only civil penalties granted against Judgement Proof family members who spent all the mpney, with no criminal charges filed by DA.
Once you have done your part e.g. setting up this blog, letters to federal, state and local officials stand firm on the truth. Know that you have made a difference. This is a very powerful blog THANK YOU for sharing such a painful experience. Now turn this over to God. You have done an excellent job speaking "Truth to Power" being a voice for your ELDERS. Teach your children and others what family values are about. We all can learn from your uncle and aunts bad examples.
The Best revenge is for you to "Have a good and prosperous Life" for we live in a moral spiritual "what goes around comes around".
