Access to verifiable information gathered by independent media sources, which adhere to journalistic standards, can also be of service to ordinary citizens, by empowering them with the tools they need in order to participate in the political process.

FIFTY-ONE FIFTY (51-50)

51-50 refers to the California law code for the temporary, involuntary psychiatric commitment of individuals who present a danger to themselves or others due to signs of mental illness. It has been more generally applied to people who are considered threateningly unstable or “crazy."

Stochastic Terrorist

The stochastic terrorist is the person who is responsible for the incitement. For example they go on radio or television and stir up hatred toward a particular person or group.

The random actor(s) gets captured and sentenced to life in prison, while the stochastic terrorist keeps his prime time slot and goes on to incite more (lone) wolves.

It takes a master demagogue to weaponize unstable individuals and aim them at political enemies.
